“ROAR!” cried the colossal monster in the hall by Jack's parents' room. Jack was awoken by the roaring blast; he immediately knew that something was wrong. He ran to his parents' room and saw his parents being dragged to the elevator!
He decided to call his best friend Bob. When he called him, he was shocked to hear that his parents were also missing. Bob said, “Meet me at my apartment!”
Jack ran outside and saw two monsters guarding the elevator. Jack remembered that he had a monster costume for Halloween. He quickly got the costume from his room. Jack walked in front of the monsters and they let him in. He went on the floor where Bob lived and walked to his apartment door. Jack felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. Bob pulled Jack in as fast as light.
Bob said, “We have got to make a smart strategy to trick these monsters and save our parents.” Jack asked Bob, “Do you have a monster costume?” Right after that they tried to call the cops. They realized that the phone cable had been cut off! They decided to drive to the police station so they could report the incident of their missing parents. They went to their apartment window, threw a long rope, and climbed down to the parking lot.
They were stunned to see a group of monsters roaming near the cars. They dived into a crawling position to get by unnoticed. When they got their car, they saw two monsters sitting on the car! Jack and Bob didn’t want the monsters to see them, so they decided to distract the monsters far away from the car. Jack pulled a firecracker from his pocket, which had been there for ages, and threw it across the parking lot. It sparked with crackling sounds, loud enough to make the monsters go and look at it.
Meanwhile, Jack and Bob dashed to the car. Jack quickly started the car and sped into the street. When they reached the police station, there was already panic there. The police were already in emergency mode because the news of monsters roaming the city was spreading like wildfire!
Bob and Jack told them how the monsters had kidnapped their parents. The police chief told Bob and Jack to get in the car. The chief sped off to their building to capture the monsters. Jack directed the chief to the parking lot. The chief had already called in a lot of backup to capture the monsters at the building. Their back up crew came within a few seconds after they arrived. The sirens were blowing loudly. The monsters were in a panic and got scared and started running. The helicopter flying above shot huge nets at the monsters and caught them!
When they got the monsters, the chief was relieved, but they had to put the monsters somewhere far away from the city. But first, they had to find Bob and Jack’s parents. They tried to speak with the monsters but they couldn’t understand. The chief decided to ask for even more backup to search for their missing parents. They were searching from the top to the bottom of the city, even the sewers.
Suddenly, Jack saw a monster shoving one of his parents into the sewer! He quickly told the chief what he had seen. The chief ran to the sewer and climbed down the drain. Bob and Jack followed him. They saw the monster crouching at the side with all their parents! It had no other way out, other than to hand the parents over to the police. They handcuffed that monster and came out with Jack and Bob's parents!
By then, the monsters had been captured and put in a big truck. The police drove off to a far off place, where the monsters couldn’t come back from again. Jack and Bob embraced their parents and were so excited to see them again! But Jack had a feeling that this wasn’t over...
